I first started working with computers when the Texas Instruments TI-99 “Home computer” was introduced in the early 1980s. It would be the first, but not the last computer I would use and later dissect to learn all I could about it. I have had my hands on the full era of computers and their online services since the beginning of online services. I have built more computers and networks than I can put a number to. I have been self-employed most of my life in the field of electronics, or as you call it “computers” and I have the strong building, construction, and maintenance experience required to better evaluate your systems and the security of your data both online and off.

Today, the Internet is bigger than it ever has been before. There are now an estimated 50 Billion devices online and your ability to share information is more secure than has ever been possible before if you do the right things. We live in a time where we have Internet devices in our business, our offices, our homes, our cars, and our hands as a normal part of life and security is not just personal, or a matter of our national security, it’s the security of everyone in the world at stake.

It’s more important than ever to be maintaining your systems, changing default passwords, installing real firewalls, using a U.S. based VPN, having your building, office, and network reviewed, not using the internet without a real VPN, Archiving your data offline, maintaining long term backups, using intrusion detection software, hiding your computer name when sending mail, locking down your computers to only the programs that are needed, training, training, training, using products and services that are made in the United States, and of course, secure business-class Webhosting from me, etc…

In case you haven’t heard, “the cloud” isn’t a very secure place to store your data.  Encrypted data is safer but more and more, professionals require stronger security that only a secure data center can offer.  All of my services are operated out of a fully certified secure data center.

I am available to remotely review your business, building, office, software, internet services, networks, etc., and provide you with opinions on how you can better secure your devices.

There is no such thing as “The cloud”.  It’s just somebody else’s computer.
